Tarnished Magazine is an annual magazine put together by the graphic design department at Lasell University. I had the opportunity to interview my cousin, Paul Leighton, and turn the interview into a 3 page article. My main goal when designing this layout was to showcase the art. I chose to use a full black background on the first page because I really wanted the gorgeous painting to stand out. In the following pages, I utilized a photo I took of him with one of his pieces as well as a collage of some of his most recent work.
